Why Algebra?

  1. Algebra is to combine, arrange, and clean my problem statement that is in raw form and have no clear vision.
  2. Form of my problem statement should be a calculative or quantitative nature.

Example problem Statement:

There are two trees side by side, one tree have white crows and other have black crows
Black crows to white crows: if one of you come to our gang then we will be equal to you.
White crows to black crows: if one of you come to our gang then we will be double to your gang.
given these facts tell how many are black crows and how many are the white crows now?

Highlight Useful facts:

Highlighted facts to Algebra:

Assume

White crows=w
Black crows=b

Black crows(b) to white crows(w): if one of you come to our gang(w-1,b+1) then we will be equal to you(b+1=w-1).

White crows(w) to black crows(b): if one of you come to our gang(b-1,w+1) then we will be double to your gang.({w+1=2(b-1)})

b+1=w-1 --> b=w-2
w+1=2(b-1)--> w=2b-3

b=2b-3-2-->b=2b-5-->b-2b=-5-->b=5
w=2(5)-3-->w=7
